MORPHEUS8

The Morpheus8 is a safe, minimally invasive device that utilizes two established skin resurfacing techniques, fractionated radiofrequency and micro-needling, to restore youthful radiance to the skin. By combining two
techniques, Morpheus8 can revitalize the face and body to resolve a variety of conditions including improving skin elasticity and skin texture, resolving acne scars, and reversing the aging process on the skin.

What Is Morpheus8?
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Morpehus8 for resurfacing, wrinkle treatment, and the overall restoration of the skin. Morpheus8 targets the deeper layers of the skin by using fractional radiofrequency energy. This initiates the remodeling and rebuilding of the underlying support structure of the skin. By maximizing the benefits of both radiofrequency and micro-needling processes, Morpheus8 can achieve a synergistic effect that produces superior results to procedures with only a single modality.[1] Patients with numerous skin conditions related to aging benefit from this innovative treatment that promotes collagen and elastin synthesis.

WHAT DO COLLAGEN AND ELASTIN DO?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the skin. It forms one of the most important building blocks in the skin, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Collagen serves as an important component of the extracellular matrix (ECM) which provides the support structure for healthy skin. Collagen is the primary ingredient for volumizing the skin.
Collagen comes from the Greek word “kólla” which means glue. Think of collagen as the glue that holds together the essential elements of the skin. Elastin is another fibrous protein. It makes a vital contribution to skin elasticity and keeps the skin taut and responsive.
Benefits
• Promotes collagen and elastin production
• Diminishes acne scars and stretch marks
• Improves skin texture and skin tone
• Proven safe and effective for all skin types
• Customizable treatments that can be adapted for different skin conditions
• More comfortable than older skin resurfacing techniques
• Minimal downtime and easy recovery
• Clinically proven results

Candidates for Morpheus8 should be in good health overall and seeking treatment to reverse the common effects of aging on the skin. Some medications, supplements, and smoking increase the risk of excess bleeding and/or bruising and swelling after the procedure.

WHAT AREAS CAN MORPHEUS8 TREAT?
• Full face
• Neck and décolletage
• Arms, underarms, and hands
• Abdomen
• Thighs and buttocks
• Knees
• Anywhere with post-surgical scars
• Anywhere that will benefit from skin tightening

Safe Preparation
For two weeks before your Morpheus8 treatment, avoid sun tanning or tanning salons. For any extended sun
exposure, please wear broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least 30 SPF. For 4-5 days before your treatment, pause any topicals that might irritate the skin including products with retinol, salicylic acid, and glycolic acid. Pause the use of medication and supplements that thin your blood at least a week before your session. This includes over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen and aspirin as well as popular herbal remedies such as ginseng, ginkgo biloba, and fish oil. Make sure to follow any personalized instructions provided to you by your provider.

Your Morpheus8 Session
By combining micro-needling and radiofrequency modalities, Morpheus 8 can achieve results beyond what can be achieved with radiofrequency or micro-needling alone.[1] Morpheus8’s needles allow for adjustable depths. This variability makes Morpheus8 a highly customizable procedure capable of treating various ailments. Your clinician can fine-tune treatment to tighten loose skin, smooth deep wrinkles, improve crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, under-eye bags, and smoker’s lines, restore vibrance to crepey skin, tighten jowls, and reduce pore size.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE
A Morpheus 8 session can take between 30-60 minutes depending on the size of the area and the patient’s unique treatment plan. Numbing is applied approximately 45 minutes prior to treatment.

Your technician will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area. If the patient’s treatment plan calls for the
Morpheus 8 device to be used at a higher intensity setting, you may receive local anesthesia.

You may receive a quick test spot to ensure you have no allergic reactions.

Once you have passed the safety precautions, the clinician will begin rolling the device over the area to be
treated. As the Morpheus8 device moves over the treatment area, micro-pins will penetrate the skin. As the
micro-pins roll over the surface, the device delivers fractional radiofrequency energy to the deeper layers of
the skin.

Recovery & Aftercare
For the first 24 hours after your session, make sure to protect your skin. Stay out of the sun and don’t engage in any strenuous activities. You should expect redness, swelling, or tight skin for about 3-5 days. Some patients may experience skin that flakes or peels. These are normal results and should resolve on their own within a week or so.

MORPHEUS8 AFTERCARE
• Refrain from using sunscreen for 24 hours after your session.
• Wait 48 hours until you apply makeup to the treated area.
• Avoid sun exposure as much as possible to limit the possibility of hyperpigmentation.
• Pause strenuous exercise for a week after your Morpheus8 session.
• As instructed, apply any healing cream or lotion daily for the specified time.

Enduring Results
Initial results will start to appear after about 5-7 days. But, it takes about a month for your collagen to reorganize and remodel itself. The collagen remodeling process continues for about 3 months, at which time your final results from your session will be visible. Studies show that Morpheus8 is a safe and effective treatment that promotes the production of collagen and elastin and restores optimal blood supply to the skin.[2] For many patients, 2-3 sessions are the optimal number to achieve the best results, though some patients may require more or fewer sessions.

MORPHEUS8 FAQs

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
How many initial sessions are needed depends on the condition(s) being treated and how many areas on the body require rejuvenation. Acne and excessive treatments generally require about 4 sessions. For skin tightening and general improvements in skin texture, anywhere from a single treatment to 6 treatments might be recommended to achieve optimal results.

WILL I NEED MAINTENANCE SESSIONS?
Many patients arrange for a Morpheus8 maintenance session every 12-18 months. By incorporating Morpheus8 into a comprehensive skin care regimen, patients benefit from long-lasting results.

WHAT IS FRACTIONATED RADIOFREQUENCY?
Fractional radiofrequency (RF) treatments employ RF energy in a grid pattern to direct energy at the deeper layers of the skin without damaging the surrounding tissue. Fractional RF energy is most effective at treating mild to moderate acne scars and skin laxity.

LUMECCA IPL (Intense Pulse Light)

An even skin tone is one of the surest signs of healthy and youthful skin. With aging, hypo- and hyperpigmentation
become a concern for patients. Energy-based treatments, such as Lumecca, are the most effective means of
restoring an even skin tone.
Lumecca is a very powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) that treats pigmented and vascular lesions. After just one use, you will notice a significant improvement in the complexion and clarity of your skin. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which delivers a comfortable and effective light treatment.
Benefits of Lumecca
• Treats age spots
• Reduces vascular lesions such as spider veins
• Rosacea
• Freckle reduction
• Repairs Sun damage
Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subside within an hour. Over the next one to two days, you may notice a darkening of pigmented spots. In the weeks following, the pigmented lesions will clear, leading to an evening out of the skin tone. After treating vascular lesions, you may see the vein blanch or a color change in the vessel, which will dissipate after a few days.
An improved skin appearance can be noted after the first session. Multiple sessions provide even better results.
Individual results may vary, and contraindications may apply. Must be performed by an experienced, licensed
professional.

DIOLAZE

Diolaze is an advanced laser hair removal technology innovated by InModeMD designed to eliminate the pain of laser hair removal with its built-in cooling technology.
What Areas of the Body can be Treated with Diolaze?
Yes, InModeMD has proven to be successful in developing safe hair removal systems. Diolaze is extremely safe with zero side effects and can be used safely on almost all areas of the body that have unwanted hair. The Diolaze system contains a sophisticated monitoring technology with automatic shut-off systems designed specifically to protect your skin from overheating.

How Does it Work?
Diolaze safely and gently eliminates unwanted hair with an advanced laser hair removal treatment by permanently destroying the root of hair follicles. The Diolaze technology covers a large treatment area, which makes treatments convenient and quick. During laser treatment, a diode laser beam is targeted toward the hair follicles. The penetrating energy then heats up the root of the hair, effectively destroying that root and preventing future hair growth.

Who is a Candidate for Diolaze?
Diolaze XL can be used on anyone that has unwanted hair on almost any area of the body. It is safe and effective for all skin and hair tones and types, although results vary based on these traits.

Is it Safe?
Yes, InModeMD has proven to be successful in developing safe hair removal systems. Diolaze is extremely safe with zero side effects and can be used safely on almost all areas of the body that have unwanted hair. The Diolaze system contains a sophisticated monitoring technology with automatic shut-off systems designed specifically to protect your skin from overheating.

How Long Does Diolaze Take?
Your treatment time of course depends on the size of the area being treated. An upper lip treatment will take only about 5 minutes, whereas a treatment on both legs might take up to 45 minutes.

How Often Does Diolaze Need to be Performed?
Diolaze needs to be performed every 4-6 weeks until the final results are achieved. Most patients need 4-6
treatments, but this varies depending on multiple factors, including the thickness of your hair, skin color, hair color, and how much hair you want to be removed. Multiple sessions are required because Diolaze (and any hair removal technology) can only treat hair follicles that are actively growing. Only about 20-30% of your hair follicles are active at any given time. The 4-6 week waiting period is set to ensure that the next group of hair follicles is active.

How Long do Results Last?
Although permanent results are not guaranteed with any type of laser hair removal, the majority of patients see long-term
hair reduction with permanent results. Laser hair removal is FDA-approved for permanent hair reduction, not permanent hair removal, so patients should be aware that there is a possibility of some amount of hair regrowth, but it will be significantly less than prior to the treatment.

What do I Need to do to Prepare for Diolaze Treatment?
Prior to your Diolaze treatment, you will need to let your unwanted hair grow out for a few days if you normally shave it. If you normally wax the area, you will need to wait a week or 2 until some hair has grown back into the area. You will also want to stay out of the sun- real or tanning bed- or use sun protection, and hydrate well. Well-hydrated skin is proven to be healthier and promote faster healing.

What is the Recovery from Diolaze Like?
The most important thing you need to do after Diolaze is avoid the sun- both regular and tanning beds- and protect your skin from any sun exposure. It is recommended to wear a high-level SPF on the area where Diolaze was performed if there will be any sun exposure to that area at all. If it is also recommended to leave the area free of products such as perfumes and deodorant, etc., or any product with chemicals that can be harsh on freshly laser-treated skin.

When will I See the Results?
Results vary from person to person and can be seen as soon as right after the treatment to about 10 days after the treatment. Some follicles will loosen immediately, and some will take time. This is all highly individual without a clear connection to hair or skin type.

What Should I Expect at My Appointment?
Your provider will first assess your skin type to determine the proper laser settings. You will lay on a treatment bed while your provider cleans the area to be treated and applies a gel to the area. Your provider will then begin the treatment, running a laser on the area with unwanted hair. The laser will penetrate through the surface of your skin to reach the hair follicles, while the cooling tip will cool your epidermis (outer layer of skin). After the laser has targeted all of the unwanted hair in the area, your provider will clean off the gel and apply a topical cream to calm the skin.

How Much Does Diolaze Cost?
The cost of Diolaze is different for everyone depending on the size of the area treated and how many sessions it takes to see desired results. Please call or email us with your inquiry and we will be able to provide you with a quote prior to treatment. We offer package discounts for sessions purchased in bulk.
